Dale Ray Stilts, 77, of Hernando, FL passed away on July 21, 2022 under the care of Citrus Memorial Hospital of Inverness. He was born to the late Raymond J. and Phyllis H. Schoonover Stilts on September 15, 1944 in Corning, NY. He bravely served our country as a member of the United States Martine Corps and was also a salesman for many years.
Dale enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, hunting and spending time with his beloved cat, Midnight.
Along with his parents, Dale was preceded in death by two of his children, Ray and Ryan Stilts and his brother, Michael Stilts. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Bonnie Stilts; his children, Randy Stilts (Angel) of Corning, NY, Corey Stilts (Tammy) of Elkland, PA, Josh Kimble (Rachael) of Alachua, FL, Lisa Cunningham (John) of Corning, NY, Wanda Erb (Jay) of Lawrenceville, PA, and Tammy Moone (Jason) of Noblesville, IN; his brother, Wayne Stilts; his sister, Jan Cameron; and his several cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery of Bushnell, FL. Full Military Honors will be rendered at that time. A visitation of family and friends will begin at 11:00 AM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL. Dr. Jon Groves, pastor of Victory Baptist Church will speak at 11:45 PM. The procession to Florida National will depart the funeral home promply at 12:15 PM.
