Joan M. Lattin Knapp, 80 of Inverness, passed away July 14, 2022 at the New Horizon Assisted Living in Inverness. Joan was born on February 26, 1942 in Poughkeepsie, NY, to the late Harry and Margaret (Mordusky) Lattin. She came to Citrus County in 1992 from Hyde Park, NY.
Joan graduated in 1960 from the Arlington High School and in 1963 from the Grasslands Hospital School of Nursing in Valhalla, NY. She was employed by the IBM Company as a Senior Administrative Specialist from July 1965 until her retirement in July of 1992. She was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. After moving to Citrus County, Joan was a member and secretary of the Newcomers Club in Inverness; an active member of the Senior Health Activity Resource Education (SHARE Club); and a member of the Upstate NY Club in Florida. She was also a member of the Inverness Lions Club and the Citrus County Historical Society. Joan was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Inverness.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her brother Harry Lattin, Jr. She is survived by several nieces.
Private cremation with care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness. Following cremation, Joan will be interred at the Fero Memorial Gardens Columbarium.
