Sharon E. Vaughn, 75 years, of Floral City, was received into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, July 12, 2022 at Citrus County Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side. She was born March 19, 1947, in Tampa, FL, to the late Morris S. Suggs and Billie L. Luther. Sharon married Curtis L. Vaughn, August 5, 1961 and has been a resident of Citrus County since 2009.
Sharon never met a stranger, she was the most loving person you could find and had lots of patience. She and her husband Curtis raised their children as well as fostering more than 125 foster children. She received a purple heart for assisting the children she fostered. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and foster mom, she loved her Lord and enjoyed taking care of her family and her extended family and loved animals.
Predeceased by her parents; Morris S. and Billie L. Suggs, she was also mother of the late Lisa Lee Vaughn.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years Curtis L. Vaughn, 1 son; Curtis Vaughn, Jr. (Jenny) of Hernando, 2 daughters; Karissa Thompson (Doug) of Kentucky and Regina Bronson (John) of Riverview, FL, 2 brothers; Shelly Suggs of Gainesville, FL and Shelby Suggs of Tampa, FL, also survived by 10 grandchildren and numerous foster children.
Cremation with care arrangements under the direction of Chas E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
