Linda Carol Carter of Hernando, FL passed away at the age of 70 on September 3, 2021, while under the loving care of her family and Vitas Hospice in Lecanto. She was born to the late Gene and Sallie (Howze) Botkin on December 16, 1950 in Bethesda, MD. In 1983 she met chiropractor James Carter who asked for her hand in marriage within 3 months of their first date and they were married 6 months later. Linda and Jim shared 27 years of loving marriage and true devotion to one another until Jim’s passing on July 3, 2011. In 1984 they made Inverness their home after relocating from Winter Haven. Together they opened Inverness Chiropractic, where Linda worked as the office manager. In 1986 their joy was complete when their only child, Sarah Ashley Carter, was born.
Those left to mourn Linda’s passing include her daughter, Sarah Carter of Hernando, FL and her sister, Sandy Oak of Satellite Beach, FL.
Memorial services for Linda are being planned for a later date and will be private with only family in attendance.
