Bernardus “Ben” Vander Geld

Bernardus “Ben” Vander Geld, 81, of Inverness, FL passed away on September 1st, 2021 under the care of HPH Hospice in Lecanto, FL. He was born to the late Willem A. and Barbara (Goedemans) Vander Geld on June 30th, 1940 in Netherlands. He will be remembered for being a loving person who loved music and loved God. He enjoyed line dancing, karaoke, and making new friends. Ben made friends everywhere he went and was loved by many. He will be dearly missed.
Those left to cherish Ben’s memory are his beloved wife of 52 years, Ann Vander Geld; his children, Bernard (Yolanda) Vander Geld of Baldwin, Michigan, William (Sondra) Vander Geld of Dutton, Michigan, Vincent Vander Geld of Spring Lake, Michigan, Dawn (Ted) Sullivan of Cutlerville, Michigan, and Tammy (Robert) Smith of Castroville, Texas; his brother, Cornelius Vander Geld; his sister, Maria Kurek; his several cherished grandchildren; and his many adored great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance is on Monday, September 6th, 2021 at 12:00 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. Calling hours will begin at 10 AM and continue until the hour of service. Ben will be laid to rest following the conclusion of the services at Hills of Rest Cemetery of Floral City, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
