Gail L. (Bonis) Gilbertie, 76, of Beverly Hills, FL, passed away on August 31st, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Stephen J. and Muriel Grace (Norton) Bonis Jr. on January 6th, 1945, in Norwalk, Connecticut. She married her beloved husband John, and together they made Citrus County their home after moving from Fairfield, CT. Gail was a very valued administrative assistant at Marketing Corporation of America, having been employed with the company for over twenty – five years.
Gail will be remembered as an ardent supporter of the local American Legion Post #155 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10087 Honor Guard to which she accompanied her husband throughout the years. She was an avid book reader, camper and enjoyed decorating her home. Gail always had an uncanny ability to take light from the most difficult of circumstances. She will be proudly remembered as a pillar of strength through her cherished children and grandchildren. She was a generous, kind, caring and quick-witted soul who wore her heart on her sleeve. Those that knew her will fondly recollect her smile as her presence always radiated warmth and love wherever she went.
Gail was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her siblings, Stephen Bonis III, Gary Bonis, and Judith Varian, and by her brothers-in-law Charles Varian and Robert Letkowski.
Those left to cherish Gail’s memory are many. They include her beloved husband of nearly thirty-five years, John J. Gibertie Jr.; her children, Craig Klepadlo (Nora) of Carolina, Puerto Rico, Kristin Beville (Harold) of Sauk Village, IL; her siblings, David Bonis and Ellen Letkowski; her grandchildren Nathaniel, Haleigh, Valerie, Bianca, and Kailyn; her many adored nieces and nephews, her sisters-in-law Judy Bonis and Lorraine (Raymond) Beaudin; and her ever-faithful four legged companion, Bandit.
A special thank you goes out on behalf of Gail’s family to HPH Hospice Nurse, Sara who showed the utmost compassion and dedication during Gail’s final days of life. She will be thought of fondly.
A Celebration of Life for Gail will be held at a later date. Cremation with Care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
