It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Timothy Nurse, 51, of Beverly Hills, Florida. Tim grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, where he went to school, played hockey and baseball, and met Laura Sullivan, the love of his life. They were married in 1992 and moved first to New Hampshire and then to Florida where they started a family. After fighting the disease for several weeks, Tim died from COVID-19 on August 25th.
Those who knew Tim, knew of his deep love for his children Jenna and Christopher, and the rest of his family. He spent endless hours supporting the Lecanto High School band and leading boy scouts from his home in Beverly Hills. He loved camping, kayaking and woodworking and he never lost his love of hockey. Tim was larger than life. He was witty, quick with a joke, supportive and caring, and was always looking for ways to help out or make life better. Tim completed his education at Dalhousie University and the Victoria General Hospital School of Radiologic Technology and worked at the Radiology Associates of Ocala, where he was a valued friend and mentor.
Tim had previously fought a successful battle against cancer, which proved his immense strength and positive attitude.
Tim treasured his time with his extended family. He is deeply missed by his parents, brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, as well as by all his in-laws in the Sullivan family.
Tim will be missed. He was taken from us too soon.
Cremation with Care is provided by the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
