Curtis Wade Noel of Hernando, FL passed away at the Grove Health and Rehab Center on August 20, 2021 at the age of 75. He was born to the late Curtis and Dorothy (Dotson) Noel on August 1, 1946 in Bloomington, IL and was a Christian by faith. Curtis proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. Prior to retirement, he worked for State Farm Insurance as a Data Processor, retiring after 37 years of service. On July 26, 1975 Curtis married Pamela (Deerwester) with whom he shared 46 years of loving marriage. Together he and Pamela made Citrus County, FL their home in 2007 after relocating from Bloomington, IL. Curtis is a former member of the Crystal River American Legion and a current member of the Beverly Hills VFW. In his spare time he enjoyed “tinkering” with motorcycles and building things. He really enjoyed the outdoors and liked helping out and working on his sisters farm.
In addition to his loving wife Pamela, those left to mourn Curtis’ passing include his son, Christopher Paul Noel and his wife Mindy; daughter, Stephanie Renae Noel; brothers: Charlie, Randy, Larry, Jerry; sisters: Kay, Carol, Terry, Wanda; and 6 grandchildren.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:30 AM on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL where full military honors will be rendered by VFW Post 7122 Honor Guard. Friends are invited to join Curtis’ family in visitation at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 AM until the procession to the cemetery departs at 10:45 AM.
