Georgia L. Inman of Inverness, FL passed away at Vitas Hospice in Lecanto on July 10, 2021 at the age of 96. She was born to the late Emanuel Franklin and Hilda (Riffer) Rubley on April 8, 1925 in South Bend, IN. Georgia was married to her loving husband Lloyd D. Inman for 70 years until his passing on September 18, 2011. Together they made Citrus County their home in 1980 after relocating from Largo, FL. She was a Christian by faith.
Georgia enjoyed traveling and loved the outdoors. In her younger years she was an award winning archer. A talented seamstress, she very much enjoyed making quilts. She crafted and donated hundreds of quilts to Citrus County charities over the years. Georgia was such a talented seamstress, she made high end clothing for serious Barbie doll collectors. Some of her designs included real fur and even long full length gloves for the Barbie’s hands.
Those left to mourn Georgia’s passing include her sons: Larry Dean Inman and his wife Amy and Richard Kenneth Inman. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jeff Inman and his wife Melissa Inman, Zach Inman; great grandchildren: Ken Inman, Noah Inman, Victoria McCarty, Kambryan Wegner, Jacob Inman, Lucas Inman; 4 great great grandchildren; and siblings: Marceline Inman, Eldean Rubley and Mercedese Frank. In addition to her husband Lloyd, Georgia was preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Bratina.
Georgia will be laid to rest with her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. A committal service is scheduled for Friday, July 16, 2021 at 11:30 AM and will be conducted by Pastor Paul Giglio of Calvary Chapel of Inverness. Friends are invited meet Georgia’s family at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home prior to the service to join the procession to the cemetery which will depart promptly at 10:45 AM.
