Doris Marie “Dorie” Denicola, 98, of Inverness, FL passed away on July 9, 2021 under the care of VITAS Healthcare of Lecanto, FL. She was born to the late Earl Caswell and Edna Drager on February 9, 1923 in Maumee, OH. She made Citrus County her home in 2005 after moving from Guntersville, Alabama. Doris loved thrifting, reading and listening to music.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, her son, Christopher and his wife Charlene, and her sister Betty (James) Rimel. She leaves behind a half-sister Edwina (Harold) Cox, a daughter, Sandra Vogel; her three grandchildren, Sean Vogel, Kristen Vogel, and Angela (David) Weible of Michigan; and her four great-grandchildren, She will be greatly missed.
Arrangements for Doris are private. She will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, alongside her late husband, at a later date. Cremation with Care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
