Barry Lee Buchanan, 53 of Hernando passed away on July 2, 2021. He was born in St. Charles, Missouri on November 20, 1967, to the late William and Sandra Buchanan. Barry moved to Citrus County with his family in 1976 after they relocated from St. Charles.
He was the owner and operator of H.E. Smith HVAC Electrical Company. Barry was a big and loud “Gator” fan! He enjoyed watching TV and his favorite movies were 300, Tombstone and The Punisher. Barry always wore caps, obviously his favorite ones were his Gator caps. He was a calm and peaceful person who really cared for his family and tried to take care of everyone around him. He would cook steak and nuggets for his little love, his dachshund, Toby, who passed away earlier this year on February 15th.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Sharon; his son and dear friend, Christopher Lee Buchanan and his wife, Heather, of Hernando, FL; his daughter, Tabitha Carson and her wife, Shelby, of Crystal River, FL; his step daughter, Tacarra Washington of Tallahassee, FL; his brother Danny Buchanan, his wife Debbie and their sons: Derrick and Dawson Buchanan, of Holder, FL; his two grandchildren: Christopher Buchanan, Jr. and Aliyah Washington; his uncle, Robert Buchanan of Sikeston, MO; and an abundance of friends.
A Service of Remembrance for Barry will be conducted on Saturday July 17th, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, with Crematory, Inverness, with Bishop Douglas Alexander, of the New Church Without Walls Church, officiating. Friends are invited to join the family in visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers please consider bringing balloons to the service. Chas E.
