Kenneth J Spoon

Kenneth J. Spoon, 73, was born in Oneida, NY on May 1, 1948 to the late Lyle and Shirley Spoon. He went home to be with the Lord on June 30, 2021 after a long courageous fight with cancer. Kenny is survived by his beloved wife, Anita Spoon, four children (two by birth, two by choice) Jason (Margaret) Spoon, and Brandy Wheeler (Ed Banach) both of Williamstown, NY, James Champion of Mexico, NY and Jenna Champion of Cohoes, NY; one grandchild, Logan Spoon; two brothers, Robert (Alex) Spoon of Camden, NY and Gary (Kristen) Spoon of Williamstown, NY. He is also survived by multiple extended family and friends. Kenny proudly served as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army from 1968 until 1975, doing two tours in Viet-Nam. He retired from the Syracuse VA as a Police Officer. He was a longtime member of the Amboy and New Haven Fire Departments. Kenny also loved many outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, and boating around Panther Lake. He passed this love on to all his children. He also enjoyed sitting on his front deck watching the world around him with his beloved dogs. Kenny attended the First Baptist Church of Hernando, FL, and the Amboy Center United Methodist Church in Amboy, NY. A Celebration of Life service for Kenny will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your local SPCA, or the American Cancer Society. Private cremation arrangements by Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
