Elizabeth “Randolyn” Anderson of Inverness, FL passed away while under the loving care of her family and Vitas Hospice in Lecanto on June 26, 2021 at the age of 89. She was born to the late Lillie (Jacobs) Grant and Randolph C. Grant, Sr. in Wilmington, NC on January 2, 1932. Randolyn was married to Edgar D. Anderson, Jr. until his passing on July 13, 2015. Prior to retirement she was employed by the New Hanover County, NC Inspections Department. She was a Christian by faith and a member of the Windermere Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Randolyn was also a member of Cape Fear Chapter #346 Order of the Eastern Star. She made Inverness, FL her home in November of 2018 after relocating from Wilmington. In her spare time she liked to travel and spend time with her family.
Those left to mourn Randolyn’s passing include her son, Edgar “Dave” Anderson, III of Inverness, FL; daughters: Deborah Anderson (Bill Campbell) of Wildwood, FL, Beth Whitley (Doug Whitley) of Wilmington, NC; sister, Shaaron Aldridge of Southport, NC; grandchildren: Sharon, Heather, Melissa, Stephanie, David, Shawn; great grandchildren: Edison, Hannah, Chase; and her special “adopted son”, William Leddin of Dade City, FL. In addition to her husband, Randolyn was preceded in death by her brother Randolph Grant, Jr.; and her great granddaughter, Susan Carson Davis in 2018.
Services for Randolyn will be held in Wilmington, NC at a later date. Cremation care by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
