Robert J. Wellman of Beverly Hills, FL passed away at Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River, FL on January 27, 2021 at the age of 86. Robert was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on September 13, 1934 to the late Guy and Edythe (Castle) Wellman. In 1955, he married Beverly with whom he shared 65 loving years of marriage before her passing in 2020. Together, they made Florida their home in 2004 after relocating from Terre Haute, Indiana and attended church at the Hernando Church of the Nazarene. Robert loved his family well and enjoyed spending time with friends. One of his passions was RV camping with family and friends including his camping club in Indiana. Robert also enjoyed his long career as a plasterer and was a member of the plaster’s union more than 60 years.
Those left to cherish Robert’s memory include his sons Brent Wellman and his wife Belinda of Delray Beach, FL; Brian Wellman and his wife Vicki of Strongsville, OH; grandchildren: Nicola Wellman, Angela Wellman, Calvin Wellman, Luke Wellman, Lindsey Keenan and her husband Ben; and great grandchild, Azariah Keenan.
Arrangements for Robert are private at this time. Robert will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL alongside his wife, Beverly, at a later date. Cremation with Care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
