Sandra W Altomare

Sandra W. Altomare, age 72, Inverness, FL passed away at home on December 19, 2020 under the loving care of her family and Vitas Hospice.

Mrs. Altomare was born in Mount Holly, NJ on December 8, 1948 to Harry M. and Doris
(Morning) Wilkinson and came to Citrus County in 1983. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Sandi loved art and interior design, but her greatest passion was her family; three children and six grandchildren. She was the best wife, mother and grandma that we could’ve asked for. She enjoyed baking and doing whatever made her family happy. Christmas was her favorite time of year. Each year she would spend three weeks decorating the interior of her home beginning on Halloween. Her love of Christmas and decorating can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViyCelHfzvc&t=11s. Sandi was a talented floral designer, owned and operated Flowers by Sandi in Hernando for many years; loved interior decorating and one stroke painting. She was vice-president of a communications and electronics firm that she and her husband operated for 30 years. She was loved by everyone she met, was kind, thoughtful, caring, loving and a beautiful person in body and spirit. Our tears will be never ending for our loss. We miss you so much.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, James Altomare, Inverness, FL; 3 children: Timothy Altomare and wife Melissa, San Diego, CA; Catherine Pacheco and fiancé Ron Tanner, Inverness, FL; Angela Anderkin and husband Jason, Inverness, FL; her Mother, Doris Wilkinson; 2 brothers: Michael Wilkinson, Floral City, FL and Jeffrey Wilkinson and wife Janet, Littleton, MA; 6 grandchildren: Tiani, Christian, Madison, Montana, Sebastian, and Meleana.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Fr. Claudius Mganga, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Chas. E Davis Funeral Home With Crematory is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.
