Harvey Arthur Stocker of Hernando, FL passed away at Diamond Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center on December 18, 2020 at the age of 92. Harvey was born to the late Joseph and Ruth (Osborn) Stocker in Utica, NY on September 23, 1928. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War. In 1950 Harvey earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University. He went on to work for the Mobil Oil Corporation for 38 years retiring as the Managing Director of the Chiba, Japan Refinery. Harvey loved music and was known for his beautiful singing voice. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Lodge #1111 in West Seneca, NY. He came to Citrus County in 2005 after relocating from Bedford, TX. Harvey was a Christian by faith and attended worship services at the First United Methodist Church of Inverness. He absolutely adored his family. His family and his faith were the most important things in his life. In his spare time he enjoyed reading and puzzles.
Those left to mourn Harvey’s passing include his wife of 9 years, Nancy L. Stocker; his daughter, Sharon Pages and her husband Charles of Peoria, AZ; son, Gary Stocker and his wife Susan of Hernando, FL; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Harvey was preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Eleanor (Bayly) Stocker in 1995 and his second wife of 8 years, Margaret (Krett) Stocker in 2007.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Cremation care by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
