Helen Roberta Roberts, age 86 of Inverness, FL passed away December 15, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Roberts was born in New Lexington, OH on May 11, 1934 to the late Robert and Margaret (McMillan) Morton. She moved from Ohio to Florida in 1993 after retiring from A.T.&T., having spent 20 years as a draftswoman. She was a long time member of Crossroad Baptist Church in Inverness. Her life was devoted to her family and her Lord Jesus. She enjoyed reading, shopping and caring for others.
Left to cherish her memory are 4 children: Randy (Susan) Roberts, Bessemer, AL; Pastor Terry (Tammy) Roberts, Inverness, FL; Chuck (Debbie) Roberts, Dalton, OH; Elaine Burdge, Leesburg, FL along with 3 siblings: 1 brother, James David (Linda) Morton, McConnellsville, OH and 2 sisters: MaryBell (Harry) Goldsberry, New Lexington, OH and Bonnie (Dick) McElhiney, McConnellsville, OH as well as 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Her husband, Wendell E. Roberts preceded her in death on January 23, 2011. They were married 57 years.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, December 21, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow the next day in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 9:30 AM. Friends may visit with the family on Monday
at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the hour of service.
