Kay Matthews, 77, of Cameron, North Carolina, passed away at Vitas Healthcare in Lecanto, FL on April 17th, 2020. She was born to the late Frank M. and Gertrude (Kane) Applegate on March 12th, 1943 in Mount Holly, New Jersey and she worked as a Hair Dresser and Cosmetologist for many years.
Along with her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert and by her son, Frank David Matthews. Those left to cherish Kay’s memory are her siblings, William of Hiawassee, GA and Debra McCarthy of Barnegat, New Jersey; her granddaughter, Tiffany Hurd of Inverness, FL; her great-daughter, Holly Hurd. Kay was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
