Dorothy Joyce Brazeau, 82, of Lecanto, FL passed away September 2, 2016 at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Lecanto. She was born on April 8, 1934 in Dade City, FL to the late Willie Elbert and Cora (Mobley) Martin. Joyce was a cashier for Walgreens and retired from there after 25 years. She moved to this area in 1979 after relocating from Brooksville, FL. Joyce was a Methodist by faith and was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church in Istachatta, FL. In her spare time she enjoyed gambling and traveling to visit with her family. Joyce was preceded in death by one son, Keith Evans, and one daughter, Linda Magee. Left to mourn her loss are her son, Rodney Evans and his wife Debbie of Dahlonegha, GA, and daughter, Cindy Clark and her husband Wayne of Lecanto, FL; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 3:00 PM from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Carol Roberts of the New Hope United Methodist Church officiating. The family will receive friends in visitation beginning at 2:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Joyce’s memory to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, PO Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
