Donald E. Moye, age 73, of Inverness, FL died at his residence on June 12, 2016. Donald was born on July 6, 1942 in Plant City, FL to the late James William and Lillie Mae (Harper) Moye. When he was 16 he met 14 year old Sarah Romano, whom he made his wife on June 10th, 1962 and shared 54 years of marriage. Throughout his life, Donald was employed as a Boilermaker for various industries. He made Citrus County his home after relocating from Tampa, FL 34 years ago. Donald was a faithful member of Ft.Cooper Baptist Church in Inverness for over 13 years. He loved fishing, was a Nascar racing fan and was a drag racer for 20 years, racing in the Tampa, Bradenton area. He was a member of Tampa Windhorst Masonic Lodge and the Local #433 Boilermakers Union in Tampa. Mainly, he loved his grand kids and adored his great grandson! In addition to his wife Sarah, left to mourn his memory are his 2 daughters: Donna Jean (Darrin) Stevenson of Inverness and Lena Faye (Shannon) Webb of Panama City, FL; 2 sisters: Ora Lee Stanton, ST. Petersburg, FL and Doris Faye (Leon) Ramer, Lacoochee, FL; his 5 grandchildren: Kevin (Celina) Stevenson of Lecanto, Andrew (Ashley) Stevenson of Lecanto, Kimmie Webb, Riley Webb and Garrett Webb all of Panama City, FL; great-grandchild: Abel Dean Stevenson; and great-granchild on the way: Zaiden Jeremy Stevenson; and a great many nieces and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by 1 brother: James Harold and 4 sisters: Lola, Gladys, Blanche and Betty. A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, June 18th, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from the Fort Cooper Baptist Church, Inverness with Pastor Marne Palmani officiating. The family will receive friends in visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
