Robert Angelotti, age 88, of Inverness, FL died June 3, 2016 at his residence while under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. Robert was born on October 30, 1927 in New York, NY to the late Joseph and Julia (Consalvo) Angelotti. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. After his military service, Robert went on to work as a Scientist for the U.S. Public Health Service. He was married to his loving wife, Carolyn, for 62 years until her passing on July 13, 2010. Robert had lived in Citrus County for 33 years after relocating from Potomac, MD – the Washington, D.C. area. He was the President of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) Chapter 776 for nine years. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading, painting and cooking. Robert was also a skilled woodworker and made beautiful furniture. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons: Phillip Angelotti of St. Leonard, MD, Robert William Angelotti and his wife Barbara of Manassas, VA; daughter: Christine Angelotti Moore and her husband Timothy of St. Leonard, MD; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is planned for Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness with Father Gene Reuman of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church officiating. The family will receive friends in visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
