ROBERT JOSEPH AULD, age 78, Hernando, died March 28, 2015 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born on April 16, 1936 in New London, CT to the late Benjamin and Mary (Pero) Auld. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1974, retiring as a Master Sergeant serving from the Korean conflict through the Vietnam War.
Robert enjoyed music, especially the 24 Karat Gold Music Shows so much that he traveled to over 300 of them. He also was an avid golfer and collector of coins and baseball cards. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Amalia Auld; sons John Auld (Zodee Treier), Benjamin (Deborah) Auld, Springfield, MA, Kevin (Theresa) Auld and Michael Auld (Lisa King), Kelley Auld, all of Dunnellon; a sister Laura Auld, Davie, FL, 12 grandchildren, Benjamin, Rebecca, Christine, Jeremy, Robert, Jeffery, Gregory, Sherrie, Kassondra, Kevin, Michael and James; five great-grandchildren, Kate, Sean, Jaclyn, Dimitri and Delilah. A tribute and celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. Inurnment will take place on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery with military honors.
