ODUS G. VAUGHT, age 78, Inverness, died March 23, 2015 under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus and Nature Coast. Odus was born on September 18, 1936 in Whitesville, WV to the late Paul O. and Louella (Samens) Vaught. Odus served our country in the United States Army. He was employed as a pipefitter for General Motors for many years. Odus was a member of the American Legion Post #155 and Point O’Woods Golf Club, where he had served as President. A man who had a quick wit and a great sense of humor, he will be missed by all who had the privilege of meeting him. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 21 years, Judy Vaught; sons Douglas (Stephanie) Vaught, Orlando, Michael Vaught, MO, David Vaught, OH, Timothy (Laura) Vaught, Orlando; stepsons Peter (Kristin) Van Euwen, III and Jon Van Euwen, his cousin, Robert Vaught, sister Lorraine Chambers, all of Ohio; grandchildren Craig, Nicole, Tim and Caitlin. A Funeral Service of Remembrance and tribute to Odus’ life will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with military honors. The family invites friends to join them for visitation from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service.
