FRANCES (DOLLY) HIMPELE, 90, formerly of Inverness, FL died Thursday, January 29, 2015 in Macon, Georgia. Frances was born on January 16, 1925 in Montclair, New Jersey to the late Pietro and Rose (Zabatta) Codella. She moved to Citrus County from Montclair in 1974 and then in 2012 moved to Warner Robins, GA. to be with her grandson, Francis Geiser and her niece, Mary Lou (Terri) Geiser. After 30 plus years, she retired from Brannen Banks of Florida as Senior Administrative Assistant. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, the Highlands Civic Association and the Highlands Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Left to cherish her memory are her step daughter, Margaret (Himpele) Acker; grandchildren, Leon, Joe, and Mark Acker, Mal Golfetto, and Dan, Jack, Jim Sherman, and Sally (Sherman) VanValkenburg : serveral great grandchildren, and tons of nieces and nephews that love her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her step daughters, Joan (Himpele) Geiser and Ann (Himpele) Sherman; grandsons Ray Golfetto and David Sherman and eight brothers and sister. The Mass of Christian Burial for Frances will be offered on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 1:00 PM from Our Lady of Fatima Church in Inverness. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness on Friday, from 11:00 AM until 12:45PM, when the procession will leave for church. There will be a reception after the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Lucia Papa Children’s Fire Safety Memorial Fund, which was started in honor of Frances’ niece and nephews lost in a house fire.
