MICHAEL (MIKE) EDWARD PHILBIN, age 65, Homosassa, formerly of St. Petersburg, passed away January 28, 2015 at Tampa General Hospital. Mike was born on September 5, 1949 in Detroit, MI to Norman and Muriel (Forney) Philbin. He was a retired, self-employed plaster and stucco contractor. A wonderful father and husband, he enjoyed being with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed his buddy, his dog (Max). Mike loved the outdoors, enjoyed NASCAR, reading and riding his motorcycle. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 34 years, Renea Philbin; his mother Muriel Philbin, St. Petersburg, FL; his daughter Christine Philbin, Largo, FL; his sisters Patricia Bely, Cleveland, TN and Terry Sexton, Pinellas Park, FL; a brother, James Philbin, St. Petersburg; his father-in-law Richard Kaiser; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Rochelle and Ray Kaiser, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Philbin. A celebration and tribute to Mike’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
