SHEILA THERESA BLANTON, age 85, Inverness, died January 27, 2015 at New Horizons Senior Citizens Home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. Sheila was born on January 22, 1930 in Schenectady, NY to the late Thomas and Nora (Felton) Knox. She was employed at Eckerd’s Drug Store for 18 years as the cosmetic manager. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and served as an usher. She enjoyed listening to music and playing cards. A very social person, she enjoyed being with her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Janice Garbin; her sons Brian and his wife Lisa Reese, Kevin and his companion, Louise Tyler, all of Inverness; sisters Mary Lou Breen, Las Vegas, NV and Doris Giacopelli, El Cajon, CA, nine grandchildren, Christine, Stacey, Debra, Kristen, Korey, Ryan, Allison, Lindsey and Brian, Jr.; six great-grandchildren and a special companion and friend John Haffkoss of Inverness. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Fiore. Please consider a donation in Sheila’s memory to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Sheila’s children send a heartfelt Thank You and appreciation to the staff of New Horizons Senior Citizens Home for the devoted care and kindness that was extended to their mother during her stay.
