SYLVIA E. HAMES, age 79, Hernando, died January 26, 2015 under the loving care of her family and HPH Hospice. Sylvia was born on May 29, 1935 in New Canaan, CT to the late Carl and Maria ( Gunsler) Young. She was a computer technician for several companies, working for Borden, Inc. Dairies for 17 years and Jack Maresa Dairy for 5 years as well as Victors Temporary. She enjoyed cruising, bowling and walking. Sylvia will be dearly missed by her husband of 44 years, Robert Hames, Hernando; her son Gary Shelomis, Ansonia, CT; daughter Patricia Shelomis (Jay Correia), Shelton, CT; stepson Robert Hames (Wendy) Seymour, CT and stepdaughter Kimberly Hames, Ansonia, CT; grandchildren Chris Pelaccia, Frank Pelaggi, Robert Correia, Kristy, Kara, Kory, Robert Hames and Emily Shelomis. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private arrangements. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date in Connecticut.
