Barbara E. Martin, 78, of Crystal River, FL, died Sunday, November 16, 2014 with her children at her side at the Citrus County Hospice House. Barbara was born March 23, 1936 in Washington PA to the late Louis C. and Thelma P. (Robinson) Elliott. She grew up in Washington and graduated Washington Jr.-Sr. High. Barbara was an operator for Bell Telephone. On April 21, 1956, she married Charles (Wally) Martin, who preceded her in death. Barbara moved from Washington in 1980 with Wally and their youngest daughter to travel the United States for his work, living in ten places until retiring to Crystal River in 2001 to be closer to their family. Barbara enjoyed dancing with the love of her life, bowling, traveling and spending time with her family and many friends. Survivors include her children, son Jay Martin of Davie, FL; daughters Jodi (Randy) Schmidt of Floral City, Kristin (Kevin) Morton of Crystal River, FL; grandchildren Coby, Devon, Melissa, Jason, Sarah, Randi, Amber, Trenten and Tyler; eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her special sister-in-law Virginia (Jigs) Taylor of Washington, PA. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private arrangements.
