ROBERT GERALD McCARTY, age 64, New Port Richey, died April 14, 2013 under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Robert was born on August 15, 1948 in Coventry, England to Thomas and Dorothy (Tooth) McCarty and relocated to this area in 1987 from Isle of Wight in England. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, boating and hunting and found peace and tranquility in nature and being on the water. He was Catholic by faith. Left to cherish his memory are his children Jason (Tanya) McCarty, Muncie, IN, Bradley McCarty, New Port Richey, Amanda (Anthony) Wells, New Port Richey, Sharon (Constantine) Kotzalides, Inverness and JoAnn Daniels; his mother, Dorothy McCarty, his brother, John McCarty and sister Karen (Cliff) Carter, all of Coventry, England; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. A funeral tribute to Robert will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends in visitation from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. The family requests donations in Robert\’s memory to Hospice of Citrus County in lieu of flowers.
