Virginia Mae Cooper, 78, Lecanto, passed away Feb 18, 2012 under the care of Hospice. A native of Cordele, GA., she was born Feb 14, 1934 to the late George and Kathleen (McCollum) Cook. She and her husband, Brown Cooper, moved here in 1994 from Cincinnati, OH. She was a member of the Inverness Church of God.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Brown Cooper, Jr; 4 children, Matt (Malou) Cooper of Homosassa; Beth (Terry) Taylor, Greenville, SC; Sally Oursler, Cincinnati, OH; Peggy (Ric) Schuster, Louisville, KY; 1 sister, Vicki Hunter, Easley, SC; 9 grandchildren, Emily, Andy, Matt, Marc, Cati, Caleb, Adam, Abby, and Alex.

Funeral services for Mrs Cooper will be conducted on Wed., Feb 22nd at 2:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness with Pastor Harvey Dunn officiating. Graveside services and burial will be on Friday at 1:00 PM from Laurel Hill Cemetery, Thomasville, GA.
