Edwin R. Rodriguez, age 54, Inverness, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 under the loving care of his family and HPH Hospice. A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 5:00 P.M. at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends in visitation from 3:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Burial will follow at a later date at El Senorial Memorial Park in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Edwin was born in Puerto Rico on March 26, 1957 to Luis and Maria Rodriguez. He was a correctional officer at the Sumter Correctional Institute for many years. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed boating, fishing and grilling out. With his wit and charm, he was able to socialize and joke with anyone. Survivors include his son, Edwin J. Rodriguez, Orlando; daughter Erica and her husband Brad White, Douglasville, GA; his Mother Maria Rodriguez, New York; his brother Luis Robert Rodriguez, Detroit, MI and sister Yolanda Rodriguez, Puerto Rico as well as three grandchildren, Amoni, Jalen and Nina White. He was preceded in death by his Father Luis in 2009.
