FRANCES A. HEATLEY, 84 of Inverness, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Hospice of Citrus County Hospice House in Lecanto. Born on March 17, 1927 in Queens, New York to the late Anthony T. and Mary (Janacek) Schettino, she came here in 1983 from Irwin, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Heatley was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Inverness. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and giving her hand made gifts. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity to those in need. Frances is survived by 4 sons: Richard T. Heatley, Annandale, VA, James A. Heatley, Hampton, GA, George F. ( Debra) Heatley, Greensburg, PA and Robert A. (Darlene) Heatley, Ridgeley, WV; her daughter, MaryElizabeth “Betsy” Huber, Inverness; brother, William (Dorothy) Schettino, Florida, sister, Joan Adametz, Boca Raton, FL and her step-mother, Sylvia Schettino, Lecanto; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, George on January 8, 2007. In lieu of flowers or memorial gifts, Frances only would have wanted her family and friends to remember her by performing an “act of kindness” to someone else, in her memory.
